of birthday parties, prisons, paranormal occurences, and happy stuff like that =D

Aaaaaand yet again with the blog-neglecting. Eep. Ok, SO....updates....

Halloween was pretty aweshum. Rose and I went to the bonfire and hung out with Maria and we visited the horsies (I got to see Mac =D) and tried to freak each other out cuz that place is reeeeally creepy at night... And the next day Rose and my sister and I spent most of the day getting our costumes together and watching random movies (Jurassic Park FTW) until it was time to go trick-or-treating. Y'know, I miss the way trick-or-treating was when I was a kid. When I was a kid (crap, I sound like someone's grandmother....) you went out and usually found yourself immersed in a huge group of other kids - total strangers - all hyped up on Halloween-adrenaline, and you would just spend the night going from house to house with them, even though you'd never met any of them before and would probably never see any of them again. It was part of the magic that was Halloween. Anywho, nowadays, you even make eye contact with someone and it's awkward. I complimented one teenager on his Mad Hatter costume, and he didn't say a word, just walked away. WELL THEN. Okay, that was my rant for the night.

School's been going pretty well. I sent out my FREAKIN COLLEGE APPLICATIONS about a week-and-a-half ago, haven't heard anything yet (although DeSales, aka my numero uno college choice, sent me a birthday card last week). My friend Kyle got accepted to DeSales though, which is cool =D Classes-wise, the only subject I'm seriously hating right now is Sociology, mostly because I'm taking it by myself at home and you can't really take a sociology class by yourself. What with it being the study of SOCIAL psychology and all.....Anywho, the classes I'm taking at the co-op are going great. I just had to write a horror short story for Sci-fi & Fantasy, and I think mine sucked but we'll see...

The glamor of having a job has pretty much worn off at this point...But I'm willing to bet a lot of teenagers feel that way about their first jobs, no?

In very recent news - like, in the past 24-hours - my little sister had her birthday party today. Our mom drove the two of us, Rose, and my sister's friend Emily to Philly to visit Eastern State Penitentiary, to which I've been before but still find AWESOME. We're rapidly becoming convinced that the prison is legit haunted - at least Cellblock 14. MAJOR coldspots.

After the prison tour we went to a little place to eat, and the most notable thing about that place was the fact that one of the waiters was BEAUTIFUL. My mom said I should leave my number on my napkin for him but I decided against it xP Oh well.

Closing thought: OMGOMGOMGOMG HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS COMES OUT NEXT WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *spazz* *has a cow* *continues spazzing as the nice men in the white coats put me in one of those nice jackets that make you hug yourself and put me in one of those comfy rooms with pillows for walls...*
