So, what to do on a hot summer day when you're bored out've your skull?
Go movie-surfing with Salty, his brother Vincent, and our completely psychotic friend Justin, of course.
Yes, technically movie-surfing is less than legal, but it's not like we're HURTING anyone. And it's fun. And it makes you feel like a badass, which is also fun. Best of all, it's CHEAP. Cheap is good.
So a couple days ago I went with the aforementioned friends to see the A-Team movie (yes I saw it again - I have a problem, I admit it), which we paid for, and then we went to see the Last Airbender (in 2-D because we forgot to bring the 3-D glasses we'd stolen after seeing Avatar). Um, Last Airbender wasn't very good.
*dodges fireballs hurled by Gandalf*
Well it wasn't! The dialogue was horribly written, the acting was unimpressive, the kid playing Aang was unbelievably annoying, the guy playing the banished fire-bending prince (whose name I can't remember and I'm too lazy to find out) wasn't nearly as gorgeous as the character on the show. The only the thing the movie had going for it: the special effects were good. And I had fun shredding it to pieces with the guys, heehee.
Backtracking a little, but...they need to make an A-Team sequel ASAP. And have the character of AMY ALLEN - aka Face's soulmate - in it. Or I will kill someone. Gandalf, Voyagefan, back me up here.

Last Airbender sucked, you nailed the reasons. And you did THAT kinda of movie surfing? FUNN!!!! Why did you only see two flicks?

anyway, movie surfing is dumb. Of course, Dad and I had lots of fun watching Van Helsing...LOLZ! Beth, have you noticed that Dr. Frankenstein looks suspiciously like Miles? It's SOOOOOOO creepy!
well we would've seen more than two but we had to leave early :/ anyway i would've left after last airbender anyway cuz everyone else wanted to go see eclipse and no way was i gonna go see it =P

I can't decide whether I like it or not: the people needed to be more depth and have more back round.They could also maybe/somehow made it shorter and put some of the Awesome adventure that takes place on the WAY to the Northern Water Tribe BUT the movie did fallow the book fairly well otherwise...Sneak attack *throws fire balls at Beth*

ReplyDeletetrue, and in the movie's defense i haven't seen enough of the show to judge how well the movie followed the original storyline. but as a movie itself, it wasn't that great. still i've DEFINITELY seen worse... *coughcoughERAGONcoughcough*
