Um in other news... Dad and my sister went to Hollywood Video's closeout sale (*sob*) and came back with a buttload of movies... 46 to be exact. Not sure if we have room for all those DVDs but I'm happy about the acquisition.

ReplyDeleteYes, but is it totally worth it? Do they have TONS of movies to choose from? Can you rent TV shows? Are their movies always in perfect condition? Can you rent Mirror Mask(long story, meh wants to see it!)? Though Hollywood Video didn't have EVERY movie, and they weren't always in perfect condition, and they don't have Mirror Mask, what's so amazing about Netflix?

also, the new max ride books STINKS. don't waste your time reading it. i wasted a whole target gift card, and a dollar from my mom, not to mention my time when i stayed up till one only to find that the ending was DEPRESSING. if JP doesn't write a seventh book, i will only reread books 1-3.

NetFlix is awesome hands down. Really that it I mean just think of it thousands of movies to chose from at $9 a month you receive 1 movie (that's the lowest price) and a limited yet still extensive list of movies you can download to you computer for no extra charge. At least that's my understanding. Personally I don't 'ave it but I know a few people who do and I only hear good things.
ReplyDeleteYes, but Hollywood Video makes people actually get up and GO somewhere, while Netflix has people just sitting in their house while other people do the work. And at one of our Hollwood Videos, they have a "Hollywood Walk of Fame" with Godzilla's name on it! Is that epic, or what?

Well think of t this way Netflix obliterates the need to go any where soooooo less cars on the road, less green house gasses, more money for the American people(eliminated spending on late fees and gas) and they can spend that money on the new "Health Care"... but that's a different discussion

ReplyDeleteGANDALF - Okay, at Hollywood Video, the prices for rental ranged from about 2-4 bucks a movie. And you get out more than two a visit.
