museum :)

FINALLY made it to the museum to see the movie costume exhibit last Thursday, and it was pretty cool. Details later - my OCD tendencies demand that I describe the events of the visit in chronological order.... So, we spent about an hour looking at all of these items from different cultures, which was kind've boring at parts but on the whole, very cool. Case in point: REAL MUMMY. I kept looking around for Brendan Fraser but he didn't show up. :( Oh well. There were also lots and lots of sharp pointy weapons, all of which I said I wanted. Not likely to get any though. I hate the world. DX Oh yah, there was also this room devoted to taxidermy and stuff, and there was this dummy of an old taxidermist dude sitting at a desk. Scared me when I came in, it took me a few seconds to ascertain that he wasn't real.... But when I realized it was a dummy, I took no more notice.... Until suddenly the thing started friggin TALKING!!!!! SHEESH, I HATE animatronics sometimes... I thought I was gonna need a defibrillator after that..... Oy.

The costume exhibit itself was really neat. Even if there were only like three Edith Head costumes..... Highlights: DUDE I STOOD LIKE A FOOT AWAY FROM SOMETHING SEAN CONNERY WORE!!!!! :D Um yeah, I have a Sean Connery obsession..... Just FYI. I tried to find a picture of the costume online (we weren't allowed to take pictures of the exhibit) but Google Images was being crappy and I couldn't find one. However, I found some pictures of some of the other costumes....

The exquisite dress Grace Kelly wore in Rear Window. :) Designed by EDITH HEAD, by the way. <3

Me: OMG AUDREY HEPBURN DRESSES!!!!! *reads signs* Crap. They're recreations. *very pissed*

Now to end the post on a completely different note, here's me on the porch roof of The House...
